CRFFN to Sign MoU With ICPC on Institutional Integrity, Ethical Standards

The Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) have opened talks towards the signing of a memorandum of understanding to foster institutional integrity and ethical standards.

IMG 20250815 WA01422The partnership decision by both organisations was the major fallout from a visit by the CRFFN Registrar,Kingsley Igwe to the ICPC Chairman Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, in Abuja on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

During the visit, Igwe presented key strategic points aimed at fostering collaboration between both agencies where he also emphasised the importance of aligning CRFFN’s regulatory framework with ICPC’s anti-corruption mandate.

IMG 20250815 WA01412Igwe also highlighted the role of integrity, transparency, and institutional synergy in advancing the freight forwarding sector. He also outlined several initiatives already undertaken by CRFFN to strengthen governance and operational efficiency.

This MOU will serve as a framework for joint initiatives, capacity building, and coordinated enforcement actions to promote accountability and professionalism in the freight forwarding industry.

In his remarks, Dr. Aliyu commended CRFFN’s proactive engagement and stressed the importance of integrity and ethical standards in regulatory operations. He elaborated on ICPC’s mission and objectives, reaffirming the Commission’s commitment to supporting CRFFN’s efforts through strategic collaboration.

The visit marks a significant step toward institutional partnership and shared commitment to national development”
