Customs Area Controller for Ogun I Command, Comptroller Ahmadu Shuaibu has called on all newly promoted officers in the command to see their promotion as a motivation to greater service.
Shuaibu who said this during the decoration ceremony of the promoted officers at Idiroko Border in Ogun State, charged the officers to redouble their efforts and see their promotion as a call to higher responsibility.
Comptroller Shuaibu who was represented by the Command’s Deputy Comptroller in charge of administration thanked the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi b and the Customs Board for finding the promoted officers worthy of promotion.

According to a press release by Chief Superintendent of Customs, Hammed Bukoye Oloyede, Shuaibu said “Your promotion is a privilege, many of you sat for the promotion examination but not all got promoted. You have to live up to expectations , to whom much is given much is expected “.

According to the release The newly promoted Comptroller AA Abdulkadir and former Deputy Comptroller Valuation of the Command, who graced the occasion , advised the promoted officers to do things differently from their usual ways such as dressing, communication and level of performance, among others. He also charged them to expect higher responsibilities and more tasks ahead.
At the occasion, 4 Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSCs), 3 Superintendent of Customs (SCs), 7 Deputy Superintendent of Customs (DSCs), 3 Assistant Superintendent of Customs I (ASCs I ) and 2 Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASCs II) were decorated with their new ranks.
The Command achievedthe promotion of 3 Comptrollers of Customs including the Customs Area Controller, 9 Assistant Comptrollers, 16 Chiefs Superintendent including the Command spokesperson, among others.
