Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced fresh cuts to the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel), a move aimed at easing fuel costs and improving access to refined petroleum products across Nigeria.
Under the new pricing regime, the refinery reduced the ex-depot price of petrol by ₦50 per litre, bringing it down from ₦1,215 to ₦1,165 per litre. Diesel also recorded a price cut of ₦80 per litre, with the ex-depot price dropping from ₦1,650 to ₦1,570 per litre.
The company said the downward review is part of its ongoing commitment to making energy more affordable while ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality petroleum products to the domestic market. It added that improved operational efficiency has enabled the refinery to lower prices and pass the benefits on to consumers and businesses.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery noted that it remains focused on strengthening Nigeria’s energy security by increasing local refining capacity and reducing the country’s reliance on imported fuel. The company said its operations continue to support economic growth through the consistent supply of world-class refined petroleum products.
The refinery reaffirmed its commitment to delivering value to Nigerians and pledged to continue adjusting prices in line with market realities whenever operational improvements make it possible.
