The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has commenced stakeholder engagement with airport car hire operators ahead of the launch of the FAAN Airport Car Hire Rank Management System (ACHRAMS), scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2026.

Speaking during a meeting with operators, the Director of Commercial and Business Development, Mrs. Joy Agunbiade, said the Authority had concluded arrangements for the rollout of the new system, noting that training and sensitization programmes for stakeholders would be completed before the end of June.

According to her, ACHRAMS is designed to enhance operational efficiency, improve revenue generation, reduce loitering around airport arrival areas, and provide passengers with faster and more seamless access to car hire services at FAAN airports.

Mrs. Agunbiade urged all registered car hire operators to complete their registration and application processes ahead of the implementation date and called for their cooperation to ensure a smooth and successful rollout of the initiative.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to deploying technology-driven solutions that improve service delivery, strengthen airport operations, and enhance the overall passenger experience across Nigeria’s airports.
