Compt. Ogar-Modey Takes Over as Controller of FCT Customs


Comptroller Florence N. Ogar-Modey has assumed duty as Customs Area Controller (CAC) of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Command with a charge to Officers/Men and stakeholders to maintain high level of discipline and improve in revenue collection.

According to a statement issued by Public Relations Officer of the Command, ASC I JT Ansha, Compt. Ogar-Modey expressed optimism that revenue increase is achievable with maximum support of her Management Team, Stakeholders and other government agencies.

She appealed for the cooperation of terminal operators, importers, agents and other stakeholders in achieving the service objectives revenue collection and trade facilitation, among others.

The CAC applauded the excellent records set by her predecessor, Compt. Suleiman Jaji Bomoi and expressed willingness to always consult with him whenever the need arises. In the same vein, she appealed to her lieutenants to accord her the same support given to her predecessor.

Comptroller Ogar-Modey thanked the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali, CFR and the entire management team for the opportunity serve, with a promise to work in line with the Extant Laws of the service.

Comptroller, SJ Bomoi described Comptroller Ogar-Modey as an Officer with vast experience on the Job.

The out-going CAC, Compt. Bomoi called on all customs Officers in FCT Command and stakeholders to extend the cooperation and support he enjoyed to the new Area Controller.

Compt. Ogar-Modey who was deployed from the Strategic, Research and Policy Department (SR & P) in Abuja was posted by the CGC to FCT Area Command in a major redeployment of Comptrollers last week.
