Niger: ECOWAS Defence Chiefs Reiterate Support for Democracy, Dialogue

The General Christopher Musa led meeting of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Defence Chiefs has reiterated support for democracy and dialogue in respect of the ongoing Niger Republic military usurpation of power.
The meeting resolved to continually support democracy and the process of restoring constitutional order in the West African country.
They added that there are options on the table to achieve the objective of reinstating the administration of President Mohammed Bazoum
Musa , who is Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff also formally assumed office as head of ECOWAS Chiefs of Defence
