Export Potential of Russian Exporters at Food and Beverage Show Exceeds $22m

Russian exporters who participated in the just concluded Food and Beverage West Africa 2023 exhibition in Nigeria, which ended on 15 June, 2023, at the Made in Russia stand hosted no fewer than 114 B2B negotiations with international business representatives.

At the exhibition, the total potential of meetings so far held was estimated to have reached $22 million.

Among all national expositions at Food and Beverage West Africa 2023, Russia’s Made in Russia national exposition was the largest, covering an area of over 380 square meters.

In all, 11 Russian companies took part in the Made in Russia exposition, presenting meat, dairy, fat-and-oil products, ready-made foods, grain and leguminous products, food ingredients, alcoholic and soft drinks, food industry equipment and packaging.

Its organisers pointed out that for the first time, the large number of Russian agro-industrial companies were represented in Nigeria at one time and in one place.

Food and Beverage West Africa 2023 is a major food exhibition in Sub-Saharan Africa. It showcases different types of food from around the world, as well as equipment for the food processing industry and Horeca.

The Russian Export Center JSC (REC Group, part of VEB.RF) is a state institution created to support value-added products export, which provides financial and non-financial assistance to companies of all industries at all stages of entering foreign markets, including those participating in the national project named international cooperation and export.

The REC Group comprises the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR), ROSEXIMBANK and School of Export.
