Compt. Omale Assumes Duty as Sokoto/Zamfara Customs Controller


Comptroller Musa Omale, PhD has formally taken over the leadership of Sokoto/Zamfara Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service from Comptroller Abdulhamid Ma’aji, sequel to the recent deployment of Comptrollers by the Service.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC AT Abubakar made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony which took place at the Area Command, the out-going Comptroller Abdulhamid Ma’aji urged officers and stakeholders to extend the same support he received while at the helm of the command to his successor.

He dedicated the success achieved during his stewardship to officers and men of the Command.

In his remark, the incoming Controller promised to sustain the legacy of surpassing the revenue target by his predecessor.


While assuring stakeholders that the Command will continue to facilitate legitimate trade, he implored them to adhere to proper declaration and payment of appropriate duties.

He also called on the officers to work together with him in synergy, so as to achieve the desired result.

Comptroller Musa Omale an ace Customs officer was enlisted into the Service in 1991 as an Assistant Superintendent, and has served in various Commands and the Headquarters. Until his present posting, he served as Comptroller Headquarters.
