Customs Announces Physical Screening, Documentation for Shortlisted Recruitment Candidates

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced that physical screening and documentation for successful candidates shortlisted for recruitment into the Service will take place at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The Service disclosed this in a statement signed on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, by the National Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada.
According to the NCS, all shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the exercise with the original and photocopies of their relevant documents.
The documents include the National Identification Number (NIN), original Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, and educational certificates, including O’Level, National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), Degree or other applicable qualifications.
Candidates are also required to present a Certificate of State of Origin, two recent passport photographs, a completed Guarantor’s Form and NYSC Certificate, where applicable.
The Service directed candidates to come dressed in a white T-shirt, shorts and canvas shoes for the physical screening exercise.
The NCS stressed that candidates must report only on the date allocated to their respective states and cadres.
It warned that attendance at the physical screening and documentation exercise is compulsory, adding that failure to appear as scheduled may result in disqualification from the recruitment process.
The Service further explained that candidates who successfully complete the physical screening and documentation will receive subsequent instructions concerning the next stages of the recruitment process.
The Nigeria Customs Service, under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, and his management team, assured candidates and the general public of its commitment to a transparent, fair and merit-based recruitment process.
The Service also urged candidates to rely solely on official NCS communication channels for authentic information concerning the screening exercise and other stages of the recruitment process.
