Breaking : Miko Sets New Record, Achieves Highest Monthly Collection of ₦48.5b at PTML Command

Nura Miko, Acting Controller of Customs at Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of Nigeria Customs Service has broken the revenue collection record by achieving ₦48,545,350,234.23 for the month of July 2026.

This record breaking feat is the highest since the command was established eighteen years ago in 2008.

 

Under Miko, the command is activated to prevent smuggling, detect concealment and under declaration while gearing to promoting legitimate trade using the various mechanism put in place by the Comptroller General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.

On Deputy Comptroller Miko’s watch , the command has stepped up trade facilitation measures for enhanced revenue generation while maintaining anti smuggling vigilance

 

Miko recently overhauled the Customs Processing Centre (CPC) for ease of doing business and promoting convenient workplace environment for customs officers, licensed customs agents , freight forwarding practitioners, terminal operators and other stakeholders

 

Acting Controller Miko recently flagged off a sensitisation workshop on the deployment of the Electronic Cargo Tracking System (ECTS), marking the Command as the second pilot location for the initiative following its successful rollout at Apapa Area Command.

With optimism to surpass the 2026 revenue target, Deputy Comptroller Miko has declared a resolve to achieve faster cargo clearance for compliant vehicular imports within one hour without compromising the due diligence of promoting national security.
