SAHCO Generates N44.46bn Revenue in 2025, Targets UAE, African Expansion

Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc has reported a strong financial performance for the 2025 financial year, posting a revenue of N44.459,365 billion and a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of over N12. 007 billion, as the aviation ground handling company eyes expansion into the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other African markets.

According to SAHCO’s Head of Corporate Communications, Adetola Vanessa Uansohia who disclosed this in a press release, the figures were announced during the company’s 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM), where management attributed the impressive performance to increased passenger and cargo handling activities, operational efficiency improvements, and sustained investments in infrastructure, equipment, and workforce development.

SAHCO’s revenue rose by 54 per cent from N28.941,270 billion recorded in 2024 to N44.459,365 billion in 2025, reflecting robust growth across its core operations nationwide.

The company also recorded a Profit Before Tax of approximately N12.264 billion, representing a significant increase from N6.486 billion reported in the previous year. Profit After Tax stood at about N9,741,650 billion, while Earnings Per Share increased to N7.20 from N3.57 in 2024.

Speaking at the AGM, Chairman of SAHCO, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, said the results demonstrated the resilience of the company’s business model and its ability to deliver value despite economic and operational challenges.

“The 2025 financial performance reflects the resilience of our business model, the commitment of our workforce, and our unwavering focus on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and strategic expansion,” Afolabi said.

He noted that the company successfully navigated a challenging operating environment while maintaining growth and strengthening shareholder value.

The company’s balance sheet also recorded notable improvements during the year. Shareholders’ equity increased to N62.21 billion, while total assets rose to N82.69 billion, supported by investments in property, plant and equipment, improved liquidity, and a stronger financial position.

Afolabi disclosed that SAHCO has developed strategic plans to expand its operations beyond Nigeria, with a focus on the UAE and selected African markets.

According to him, the expansion initiative is aimed at strengthening the company’s regional and international footprint, diversifying revenue streams, and leveraging opportunities in the growing aviation industry.

He said the move would position SAHCO as a leading aviation ground handling and logistics services provider across Africa and beyond, while sustaining long-term value for shareholders.

Revenue growth during the year was largely driven by strong performance across the company’s airport network and increasing demand for aviation ground handling services.

SAHCO remains the only aviation ground handling company with operational presence at all commercial airports across Nigeria, giving it a unique nationwide footprint within the country’s aviation sector.

The company provides a range of services, including passenger handling, baggage and ramp handling, cargo handling, aviation security services, premium lounge operations, crew administration, and other aviation-related services.
