US Coast Guard Visits Lekki Port

The United States Coast Guard has visited the Lekki Deep Sea Port for a critical assessment of the facility’s compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code on 20th of March, 2025.

The visit which took place alongside the company of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) ISPS Compliance Team is part of the ongoing collaboration between NIMASA and the U.S Coast Guard to align Nigerian ports with global best practices in maritime security.A key objective of this partnership is to delist Nigerian ports from countries under heightened scrutiny and tariff restrictions when trading with the United States.

This success was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Lekki Deep Sea Port security Team, the Lekki Freeport Terminal Security Team, and other partners in law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
