Police Arrests 9 Suspects for Attempted Murder in Edo

Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested nine suspects over alleged attempted murder of two persons in Ologbo community, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects allegedly attacked one Oluwa Esimaje age 39, and Osagie Festus 40 in the community and opened fire on them, which inflicted injuries in the process.

The Police spokesperson in the state, SP Chidi Nwabuzor confirmed their arrest in a telephone chat with our correspondent on Tuesday.

Nwabuzor said that the police mobilised to the scene after the victims reported at the Ologbo Police Division and arrested 38-year-old Osahon Omofuma and eight others present.


“The victims in the process sustained injuries on their heads and legs respectively.

“The injured victims were taken to the hospital for treatment after they reported, and investigation has commenced on the matter,” he said.
