To improve the safety and security standard of the aviation sector, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has accredited the Aerodrome Emergency Training School of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria to offer Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) training in Nigeria.
The NCAA Acting Director General , Chris Najomo, handed an accreditation certificate to the institution during the award ceremony on 29th October, 2024 at the Authority’s corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
The accreditation which is the first of its kind in Nigeria will bring about global recognition; increased enrolment in the college; positive forex flow into the country; recognition from aviation stakeholders domestically and internationally; and increased eligibility for funding opportunities.
The Acting Rector of the college, Mr. Joseph Imalighwe assured the Ag. DG NCAA that he will uphold the standard of the accreditation.He also appreciated Chris Najomo for his commitment and effective management of the industry since assumption of office.
