
The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has inuagurated four 4 Units under Dockworkers Branch of the Union.
According to Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, the MWUN Head of Media, who disclosed this in a press release ,the four Units, differently located in Delta State include: Ifiekoro/Obeji , Sapele, Koko and Oghara.
Ifiekoro/Obeji Unit has Comrades Endurance Odongharo Bobele as Chairman and Andy Eyifoma Omagbemi as Secretary, Sapele Unit has Comrades Felix Oborodowan as Chairman and Akoko Aghogho as Secretary , Koko Unit has Comrades Happy Wilkie as Chairman, while Bright Dumkpemi is Secretary and Oghara Unit has Comrade Daniel Ayoka as Chairman with Tanno Kingsley as Secretary.
After the inuagural swearing-in- ceremony, the President of Dockworkers Branch, Comrade Agboola Bolaji thanked the Unit officers and admonished them to be of best behavior while carrying out their official functions in their various units according to the dictates of the Union’s constitution, so as not to bring the name of the Union into disrepute.
The Branch President , Comrade Bolaji congratulated the newly elected officers of the units alongside his branch executives and further urged them to be good ambassadors of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria at all times.He also said that the inuaguration of the new Units has heralded a new era into the Union at large.
