International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking: Comptroller Olomu Collaborates with Sister Agencies on Drug Abuse
The Customs Area Controller (CAC) Apapa Command, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, has taken collaboration with sister agencies a notch higher by participating in the Walk Against Drugs in Commemoration of 2024 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking.
The CAC joined the Commander NDLEA, Apapa Special Area Command, and other government agencies in the port to bring awareness on the dangers inherent in drug abuse.
The Customs boss noted that such collaboration between sister agencies of government is crucial for intelligence sharing and ensuring public safety.
He further noted that by working together, security agencies can achieve greater success and better protect their communities than they could alone.
The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is marked in June every year, to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving the goal of a world free of drug abuse.
And each year, individuals like yourself, entire communities, and various organizations all over the world join in on this global observance, to raise awareness of the major problem that illicit drugs represent for society.
