Comptroller Shuaibu Hosts Farewell Ceremony for Two Retiring Assistant Comptrollers, NYSC Members
The Nigeria Customs Service Conroller in charge of Federal Operations Unit (FOU) B, Comptroller Ahmadu Shuaibu on
October 10, 2024, honoured 2 Assistant Comptrollers who recently retired from the service.
The event which is the first of its kind in the history of the command was held at Kangiwa House, headquarters of the FOU Zone B,
A press release by Customs Public Relations Officer,Isah Suleiman said it marked the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the retired senior officers, including the 2023 Batch C Corps Members, who also recently concluded their year with the command.
The retiring Assistant Comptrollers are AC Suraj Umar Faruk, Acting Deputy Comptroller Enforcement and Dan-Alfa Lawal Ibrahim, Acting Deputy Comptroller Administration of the FOU Zone B Kaduna.
In his remark, Comptroller Ahmadu Bello Shuaibu emphasized the importance of diligence, hard work, and integrity, stating, “Diligence, hard work, honesty, and integrity are the bedrock of our Service.
“This occasion is organized to encourage officers and men to do their best and recognize their contributions and dedication to duty.”
The Unit Comptroller who also used the ceremony to bid farewell to the 2023 Batch C NYSC Members who completed their one-year mandatory service at the NCS-FOU B, advised the NYSC Members to imbibe professionalism in their chosen careers and to be good ambassadors of their families and the NCS.
He further admonished them to ensure that the relationships established during their service transcend their lives.
During the ceremony, the Corps Members presented an artwork gift to the Comptroller, who in turn presented plaques and certificates to the retired senior officers and the NYSC Members.
The ceremony was attended by Comptroller Ahmed Tijjani Abe ,Customs Area Controller Kaduna Area Command), senior officers, family, friends and well wishers.
