The Western Zone of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) is set to host its first-ever Annual Table Tennis Tournament, in partnership with the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF).
According to a press statement by the association, the highly anticipated event will take place on December 6th and 7th, 2024, at the NOT BAD SPORTS ARENA in Egbeda, Lagos.
The tournament which promises to be an exciting competition with a grand prize of N10 million at stake, aims to foster unity and camaraderie among key players in the maritime, aviation, and border sectors.
According to the statement, “The tournament is designed to bring together government agencies, industry stakeholders, and sports enthusiasts in a relaxed and competitive environment. We are thrilled to provide a platform for networking and friendly competition to close out the year.”
The two-day tournament will feature teams from various organizations, including the Nigeria Customs Service, NIMASA, Shippers Council, Licensed Customs Agents, Terminal Operators, Shipping Companies, bonded Terminal Operators and each organization is invited to send a team of four players to represent them.
The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi , is expected at the event as the Special Guest of Honour.
