
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo has been honoured with a prestigious award by the Joint Consultative and Negotiating Council (JCNC) of All Aviation Unions in recognition of his proactive approach to transforming the Nigerian aviation sector.
The award was presented to the Minister during the Aviation Workers Week and Award Nite, a major event dedicated to celebrating the contributions, dedication, and achievements of aviation professionals across the country.
According to the aviation unions, the recognition was bestowed on the Minister for his remarkable leadership, commitment to reforms, and consistent engagement with stakeholders aimed at repositioning the aviation industry for efficiency, growth, and global competitiveness.

The unions noted that since assuming office, Keyamo has demonstrated exceptional dedication to addressing long-standing challenges in the sector, strengthening institutional collaboration, and fostering a more conducive environment for aviation workers and industry operators.
They further commended his open-door policy and willingness to engage constructively with labour unions and other stakeholders in pursuit of sustainable development within the aviation ecosystem.

In his remarks while receiving the award, the Minister expressed appreciation to the aviation unions for the honour, describing it as both humbling and motivating. He reaffirmed his commitment to continue working collaboratively with all stakeholders, particularly aviation workers, whose contributions remain vital to the growth and stability of the industry.
