The Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC) in Gwagwalada has graduated 50 officers from its Junior Course 21, following the completion of a three-month training program designed to enhance middle-level management capacity within the Service.
The graduation activities commenced with a regimental dinner on April 30, 2025, and culminated in the formal graduation ceremony on May 2, 2025, at the College’s Ahmad Makarfi Hall.
Addressing the graduates, Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, who was represented at both events by Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG) Suleiman Chiroma, who oversees the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC),commended their commitment and perseverance throughout the course, urging them to uphold the values of discipline, professionalism, and integrity that define the NCS.
“The College has equipped you with the requisite knowledge for higher staff and command responsibilities. Your value to the service and your fatherland has been greatly enhanced, and you are now better prepared to contribute meaningfully to the attainment of our strategic objectives.”
The Commandant of the College, Assistant Comptroller-General Oluyomi Adebakin, congratulated the officers and reminded them that the Nigeria Customs Service had invested significantly in their development. She emphasized that the college maintains zero tolerance for indiscipline and mediocrity, urging them to make the most of the opportunity.
Certificates were presented to the graduates, and they were awarded the Passed Junior Staff Course qualification ( PJSC) . The graduates expressed gratitude for the training, saying it had positively impacted their leadership and operational capabilities.
The newly graduated officers are set to assume pivotal roles in advancing the Service’s mission across various commands and formations nationwide.
