During the occasion of decorating 37 newly promoted officers of the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Customs Area Command (KLTC) of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), the Area Controller of the Command , Comptroller Joy Edeldouk, announced that the Command generated ₦107,182,674,904 in 2024 which is 101% higher than the ₦53,429,613,592 generated in 2023.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, JT Ayagbalo who disclosed this in a press release said Comptroller Edeldouk stated that the remarkable revenue growth is attributed to the Command’s strategic efforts to strengthen revenue collection, improve compliance, and enhance operational efficiency.
Comptroller Edeldouk affirmed that the success can be traced to several key factors, including: Intelligence-Driven Enforcement, Strategic Initiatives, Capacity Building and Stakeholder Engagement.
The CAC further stated that the Command intends to implement robust risk management systems and data analytics to enhance revenue collection in 2025.
While addressing the newly promoted officers, she expressed her pride in their dedication and hard work.
The CAC expressed gratitude to the Comptroller-General of Customs , Bashir Adewale Adeniyi and the Management Team of the Nigeria Customs Service for their immense support. She assured that officers and men of KLTC will continue to work tirelessly to optimize revenue collection while facilitating legitimate trade.
