Customs FOU Zone C Extends support to Host Communities with Solar – Powered Borehole, Eye Glasses
In the spirit of Corporate Social Responsibility, Comptroller MC Ugbagu, the Zonal Controller, has announced that the Federal Operations Unit Zone C has successfully built solar powered bore hole and also distributed above 180 eye glasses to its host community members.
This he made known in a panel discussion at the on going Comptroller General of Customs Conference in Abuja on Friday 15th November, 2024.
The panelists of this discussion which included all controllers of federal operations unit, Zone A Compt IK Oladeji, Zone B Compt AB Shiaibu, Zone C Compt MC Ugbagu and Zone D Compt A Abubakar gave an insight about the operational activities in their respective Units.
Compt Ugbagu emphasised that the FoU Zone C’s efforts demonstrated their commitment to supporting the community and improving lives. By providing essential resources like clean water, vision care and by doing so they are making a difference in the lives of those they serve.
” The zone C covers the south east and the south south zone with its operational base in owerri, the FoU zone C has recorded some success in terms of seizures.We have also been involved with the CGC’s directives to add value to the community, this we’ve done severally .
“As we stand today FOU zone C in collaboration with our major stakeholders has succeeded in giving our host communities a solar powered bore hole and we also issued 180 eye glasses to members of the community” he said
