Aviation: Airline Operators Commend Keyamo for Having ‘Listening Ears’

The spokesperson for the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) and Chairman of United Nigeria Airline, Obiora Okonkwo has commended the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo for being an attentive Minister .

He made the commendation while delivering his vote of thanks during the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Nigeria and the Boeing Company on Wednesday, August 28, in Seattle, Washington, USA.

The signed MoU is expected to catalyze significant improvements in Nigeria’s aviation infrastructure and operational standards, further positioning the country as a key player in the global aviation industry.

Obiora Okonkwo described the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development as one who ” has a listening ear”.

” I’m highly delighted.When the Minister came on board, one thing we continue to see that is a great influence is that he has a listening ear. On few occasions that I have met with him, we will always emphasize on ‘policy’ and removing the blocks and clogs along our ways in order for the rest to flow just easily ”

“We thought we are just saying what we have to say to one of those government officials but we didn’t know how much the Minister took it . When he started running, his pace is fantastic ”

The AON spokesperson appreciated Boeing for their collaboration and affirmed that Festus Keyamo will be referred to as the ” Father of Modern Aviation Sector in Nigeria” at the end of his tenure.

“Boeing, thank you for what you have conceived for us and what you are still planning for us.By the end of this whole game, when what the Minister is doing with the Boeing is over and when what he is doing with the laws in Nigeria is completed, he will eventually at whenever time he will bow out as a Minister have become the father of the modern aviation sector in Nigeria ” he said.
