Abia North Senator Orji Kalu, has stopped using his private jet due to Nigeria’s economic challenges and concerns over workers’ salaries.
In a Facebook video, Kalu explained that fueling his jet has become unsustainable. “I’ve grounded my private jet since August 2, 2024, to support resolving salary differentials for Nigerian and West African workers.” Kalu said
Kalu cited the difficulties in fueling and maintaining the jet amidst the economic hardship. “Buying fuel and the rest of them, I don’t need to explain to you, my dear, for now, I have grounded the private jet to do some other business for oil companies.”
“There is a commercial plane that was scheduled, and I will use them to the glory of God.” he added.
