The appointment of Deputy Comptroller of Customs, Nura Miko as the Acting Customs Area Controller of the Port & Terminal Multi-services Limited (PTML) Command comes at a crucial period for Nigeria’s trade facilitation drive. Prior to his appointment at PTML, Miko served as Deputy Comptroller in charge of Revenue at the Apapa Area Command, where he distinguished himself through exceptional revenue monitoring and compliance enforcement. His contributions earned him a Certificate of Excellence from the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, after he led a team of officers that uncovered ₦241 billion in unpaid duties owed to the Federal Government.
The recognition reinforced Miko’s reputation as a diligent and uncompromising officer with a keen eye for revenue protection and regulatory compliance.
