Vindi Petroleum has devised a strategy to solve the fuel scarcity challenge in the nation by creating a platform “Fuelyapa” where fuel can be ordered online and picked at designated stations nationwide.
The Executive Chairman of Vindi Petroleum , Victor Kalu who gave an insight of the initiative to members of the Igbo community at the Ndigbo palace in Lagos said Fuelyapa means Fuel in abundance and the goal is to distribute petroleum products equally across the country at uniform price.
He added that the aim of the initiative is make it easier to purchase fuel during the Yuletide period by providing 10,000,000 litres of fuel everyday at a reasonable price.
Speaking further, Kalu said Vindi Petroleum is partnering with other petrol stations and this movement is to grow the economy as petroleum is an important factor that drives all business processes.He also revealed that the system is being spread across Africa.
He informed that Fuel Yapa is operational at Vindi Petrol Station which was launched recently in Mazamaza , Lagos.
He said”Fuelyapa is about growing a network that will be big enough to command a huge purchasing power and make petroleum products especially fuel so affordable for the majority. It is important that we grow the economy of the State.
“The sole objective of Vindi petroleum is to build the largest private petroleum distribution platform in Africa .This initiative is born out of technology which makes things faster and easier. Petroleum drives almost all productive process in the nation and our goal is to partner with Nigerians so that we can bring about a change.
“We are partnering with fuel stations .When you have your fuel voucher provided by us ,you can purchase fuel anywhere in the country. We have over 1,000 stations in partnership with us across the country. You can drive into any petrol station and buy fuel at and affordable price.
“For example, if you are traveling to the South East , you can order fuel on our platform. Our platform has the Global Positioning System (GPS) that can tell the location of every fuel station that we are partnering with.
“We want you to subscribe to this and partner with us so that prices of goods and transportation can be affordable.”
While endorsing the Vindi Petroleum Fuel yapa initiative, the Leader of the Igbo Community and Eze Ndigbo of Lagos State, Christian Nwachukwu said the initiative is a timely one which will save people from the problem of scarcity and hike in fuel price.
He appreciated the management of Vindi Petroleum for creating the platform and assured that the Igbo Community will key into it.
He said ” instead of going through the fuel scarcity problem, through Vindi Petroleum Initiative, you can travel anywhere at ease. We have bought the Fuelyapa idea and we believe it will go far.”
