Ten Things of Interest About Man Who Tried Putting Tramadol in Passenger’s Luggage at Lagos Airport
1. His name is Ajuzieogu Mac-Elvis Ugochukwu
2. He was an employee of Pathfinder International Ltd, an aviation security service company with presence in Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Kenya and Senegal.
3. He was caught on 16th January 2024 while trying to put 50 pills of tramadol 225mg concealed in a bottle of dietary supplements in the luggage of an intending Accra bound passenger
4.Both Ajuzieogu and the exhibit were later transferred to NDLEA on Thursday 18th January by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN for investigation
5. Follow up operation by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has led to the arrest of one Okosun Paul Punitt who has confessed to be the consignee
6.A video of the face-off between the innocent passenger and Ajuzieogu went viral after the vigilant passenger suspected the consignment contained illicit substances.
7. The arrested suspects were not employees of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) as widely speculated on social media when the story broke.
8. Both men will face prosecution and risk jail terms upon conviction
