Comrade Sunday Avoseh has been re-elected unopposed as President of the Seafarers’ Branch of Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN).
He was re- elected for a second tenure of four years during the Seamen/NIWA and Water Transport Branch 6th Delegates Conference held in Port Harcourt on 26th June, 2025.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Avoseh expressed gratitude to the delegates and reaffirmed his resolve to intensify the fight for improved welfare, job creation, and the dignity of Nigerian seafarers.
He also appealed to all Seafarers’ Branch members to stand together in support of his leadership as they move forward into a new era for the union.
Avoseh underscored unity as the backbone of the union. He urged members to stand together in shared commitment.
