PTML Customs Collects N213.9b Revenue in Ten Months


The Port Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of Nigeria Customs Service has collected a total revenue of N213, 914, 304, 886 from January to October 2023.

The amount is N14, 445, 822,044 higher than N199, 468, 482, 842 collected within the same period of 2022, which makes an increase of 7.2%.

Breakdown of the revenue collection shows the highest amount collected in August N31.936bn, N30.521bn in July, N29.129bn in October, N21.346bn in September and N20.336bn in April.

Others are N19.840bn in May, N17.082bn in June, N15.843bn in March, N14.748bn in January and N13.129bn in February 2023.

According to the Customs Public Relations Officer of the  Command, Chief Superintendent of Customs, Yakubu Mohammad, said, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Sa’idu Abba Yusuf has promised that, despite the dull in imports, the Command will meet his target for the year.


He said the Command and its officers are working very hard to meet the target and called on all stakeholders to support the open door policy of the CAC to make sure all duties are paid appropriately to government coffers.
