
The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adeboyega Oyetola, has officially launched the NIMASA Maritime Labour E-Platform, which will enable a more efficient, transparent, and innovative maritime sector.
He made the official launch at the Day of the Seafarers Celebration in Port Harcourt ,Rivers State on 25th June ,2025.
Speaking at the event, he said that the Maritime Labour E-Platform will offer several key features designed to enhance the maritime sector, including real time data access, enhanced regulatory compliance, and a centralised system for labour administration.
The Minister revealed that the E-Platform features are expected to streamline operations, promote accountability, and drive industry wide innovation. This shows that NIMASA’s commitment to digital reform is evident in its efforts to modernise operations and enhance regulatory processes.
Oyetola also commended NIMASA for its forward-thinking initiative, which aligns with the ministry’s vision of promoting ease of doing business, global competitiveness, and human capital development in the blue economy while encouraging stakeholders to fully utilise the platform’s capabilities, emphasising its potential to drive growth and development in the maritime sector.
