The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced that an Airpeace flight P47190 with registration number 5N-BQQ which departed from Lagos and landed at Port Harcourt International Airport (PHIA) skidded off the runway upon landing.
According to Mrs. Obiageli Orah, the FAAN Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection who disclosed this in a press statement, the incident occurred on 13th July , 2025 and no casualty was recorded.
She reported that evacuation of the 127 passengers has been completed safely.She advised passengers to plan for flight delays for any departing flights to Port Harcourt .
The Airline’s Spokesperson, Osifo-Whiskey Efe who confirmed the incident in a statement said all passengers were safe as none incurred any injury .
“Air Peace confirms that its Flight P47190, operating from Lagos to Port Harcourt this morning, had a runway excursion after landing safely at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
“The aircraft veered slightly off the runway without any damage. All passengers disembarked safely and calmly, and no injuries were reported”, he said .
