The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has guaranteed that with its enhanced safety surveillance , the Nigeria Airspace is well secured.
The Acting Director General of NCAA, Chris Najomo made this known during the staff annual new year prayers that is always held on 2nd of January at the Authority’s headquarter in Abuja.
The occasion was held alongside the marking of the NCAA 25th anniversary.
Najomo stated that the safety measures are the solutions to the problems affecting the airspace.
He assured that the Authority would not stop enforcing strict compliance among airlines as it is committed to ensuring that air travel is safe, with constant monitoring and improvement.
While speaking about staff welfare, he mentioned that his administration is dedicated to enabling the best working conditions possible.
At the close of the event, the NCAA @25 flag and the anniversary monument was unveiled.
“The Renewed Hope agenda from the President and the five key points agenda from the Minister have given us the opportunity to perform better, and we will continue to do so.
“We recently sanctioned five airlines for failing to issue ticket refunds, and they have committed to making timely payments.In 2025, we expect improvements, and we are determined to make air travel safer for all.
“The attacks are not affecting my work. There are no distractions. Because I’m resolute in doing what I’m supposed to do. My confirmation is in the hands of Mr. President. And when it comes to the time, he will do the needful. For now, it’s not distracting me. I’m doing my job.
“We are fully digitalizing, with solutions like the flight data center, CPD portal, and DATR portal, making operations more efficient.” he said.
