Comptroller Dauda Ibrahim Chana, Area Controller of the Kano/Jigawa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has decorated 216 newly promoted senior officers.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Saidu Nuruddeen who disclosed this in a press statement said that the ceremony coincided with the celebration of International Customs Day, marked annually on January 26.
Nuruddeen added that the ceremony, held at the Command Headquarters, was attended by Comptroller Dauda Ibrahim Chana and other top officials of the NCS.
The promoted officers, who underwent rigorous assessment and examination, demonstrated exceptional dedication, hard work, and professionalism.
Comptroller Chana congratulated the newly promoted officers, urging them to continue striving for excellence, maintaining the highest levels of integrity, and upholding the esteemed traditions of the NCS.
According to Saidu Nuruddeen , ” The promotion breakdown includes: 3 DC to Comptrollers (CC) ,8 AC to Deputy Comptrollers (DC), 16 CSC to Assistant Comptrollers (AC) as those in the Comptroller cadre who will be decorated on Thursday 30th January 2025 at the Zonal Headquarters are :22;Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC), 17 Superintendent of Customs (SC),56 Deputy Superintendent of Customs (DSC), 33 Assistant Superintendent of Customs I (ASCI), and 61 Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASCII).
