The Höba chiefdom has conferred Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state with the traditional title of Midala Höba.
Midala is translated as the, lead, warrior; and defender of the people of the chiefdom.
The conferment which took place at the coronation and presentation of staff of office to the Tül Höba in Hong local government area of the state, had in attendance top government functionaries within and outside the state.
Stakeholders in the area who spoke separately eulogised with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for being courageous, brave and steadfast in championing the creation of the seven newly established chiefdoms and emirates in the state.
They pledged their continuous unwavering loyalty to the Governor describing him as a hero.
The Töl Höba Alheri Bulus Nyako who announced the conferment shortly after being coronated by the Governor appreciated God for using Fintiri as the instrument of liberation and emancipation, a development that, according to him, remains indelible in the annals of the history of Höba people.
The Governor, Midala of Höba, was decorated with the necessary traditional royal attires vis-a-vis his conferment status.
Meanwhile, the Governor was in Maiha earlier alongside prominent figures where he coronated the first Emir in the area, Alhaji Ahmadu Sainaru Sanda.
The coronation and presentation of staff of office by Governor was characterized by display of a rich cultural diversity of the Maiha emirate as well as other cultural beauty of Adamawa state including a mini durbar by the beautifully decorated royal horses,cavalry, where the new emir took part in the rich display.
