In an article signed by SEREC’s Head of Research, Fwdr Eugene Nweke, he emphasised the need for freight forwarders to rekindle professional resilience and recommit to quality service delivery to remain relevant in the modern logistics ecosystem.

He noted that the industry is facing numerous challenges, including port automation and digitalization, tax reform, and the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.

He also said that the freight forwarding industry is also grappling with professional frustration, high cost of doing business, and inefficient shipping and port operations.

Fwdr Nweke urged freight forwarders to work together, share knowledge, expertise, and best practices to navigate the complexities of the modern trade landscape and build a stronger, more sustainable future.
