COWA PTML Chapter Marks Year-End, Links Family Support to Command Productivity

The Chairperson of the Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA), PTML Chapter, Mrs Caroline Ifeoluwa Anani, has emphasised the importance of family welfare in sustaining productivity and operational efficiency at the Ports and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service.

Mrs Anani stated this on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, during the PTML Command End of Year Party, describing the annual event as a platform for unity, reflection, gratitude to God, and preparation for greater achievements in the coming year.

 

She noted that although it was her first end of year celebration as Chapter Chairperson, the gathering represents the spirit of togetherness that defines the PTML Command family, reinforcing the association’s commitment to continuous improvement.

According to her, COWA PTML Chapter has remained intentional in supporting officers and their families, stressing that a strong home front directly influences officers’ commitment, efficiency, and overall performance at work.

Mrs Anani said the association’s welfare driven interventions have contributed to the command’s successes, including improved productivity, enhanced trade facilitation, and increased revenue performance recorded in 2025.

Reviewing the chapter’s activities, she disclosed that COWA implemented mental health awareness programmes, conducted blood pressure and blood sugar tests, organised eye screening and treatment, and donated medicated glasses to beneficiaries within the command.

She added that the chapter also hosted seminars on home management, food and nutrition, and family care, while carrying out a robust breast cancer awareness, diagnostic, and treatment programme for COWA members and the general public.

The celebration also featured distribution of gift items to officers, COWA members, and widows.
