Comptroller Anani Seeks Stakeholders Collaboration at Customs PTML Command, Assures Standard Services

To strengthen the operations of Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), the new Area Controller of the Command , Comptroller Joe Anani has called for cooperation from stakeholders .

During Comptroller Anani’s maiden stakeholders engagement which took place at the Command on 18th September, 2025, he appreciated the stakeholders for supporting his predecessor, Assistant Comptroller-General Tenny Daniyan during his tenure. He commended them for their patience and sacrifices made while utilising the B’Odogwu platform , the indigenous Unified Customs Management System (UCMS) created for the purpose of streamlining trade and customs processes in Nigeria.

He promised to respond to challenges being encountered on the platform promptly as he stated that he will be accessible at every point in time.

Comptroller Anani assured that the stakeholder engagement will be constant .He commended the revenue record achieved by his predecessor and pledged that the Command will meet its target this year.

“I called this meeting to seek your cooperation. Despite the crisis of B’Odogwu, we all knew the sacrifices you all made and the patience you gave. Today, I think we’re all enjoying the initiative.Digital problems are there but way I’m going to respond to this is what really matters. The cooperation you gave to my predecessor is what I’m seeking from you.

“My doors are open 24/7 for all. I want you to support my initiative. There is a platform already set by my predecessor and I’m going to build on that premise.The revenue here has been so wonderful and it’s not without your support.I also want you to support us in the area of revenue targets. I promise that this engagement will be from time to time for us to achieve massive results.”, he said.

Representatives of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) PTML Chapter, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) , Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON) pledged to give Comptr. Anani full support.
