
Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Chris Najomo, has empowered no fewer than 20 members of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority’s Muslim Ummah during an empowerment programme held at the Authority’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja recently.
Among the beneficiaries were security personnel, cleaners, and individuals selected from within and outside the NCAA. A hand of support was also extended to the families of two deceased beneficiaries.

In his goodwill message, Capt. Najomo urged the NCAA Muslim Ummah to continue to pray for the growth, safety, and progress of the NCAA and the aviation industry at large.
He reaffirmed his commitment to social welfare, promising that the management would roll out further empowerment initiatives to support the less privileged.

In his own address, the Director of Aerodrome & Airspace Standards, who doubles as the Patron of the Headquarters’ Mosque, Alh. Abba Ahmed, mni, commended the DGCA for his continuous goodwill and commitment to staff and community welfare.
Some of the items distributed include sewing machines, deep freezers, clipper and other barbing tools, POS machine and laptop.

Apart from members of the NCAA Muslim ummah, prominent among others present at the landmark event were Director, Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, Mr. Michael Achimugu; and the Director, Aviation Security Regulation, Dr Bernard Omogo.
Others included General Manager (GM), Approved Maintenance Organization Certification & Surveillance, Engr Suleiman Akwuh; GM, Air Navigation Services, Alh. Suleiman Aliyu; Technical Assistant to the DGCA, Engr Ini-Abasi Udofia; Chief Imam, NCAA mosque, Alhaji Aminu Tasiu; and Mr Sa’ad Al Amin Daggash.
