Bandits Disguised in Hijab Attack Police Post in Katsina, Kill One Officer


Terror struck the village of Saki Jiki in Batsari local government area of Katsina State as bandits dressed in hijabs launched a deadly attack on a police duty post late Thursday, claiming the life of one police officer.

The state police spokesman, Abubakar Aliyu Sadiq, confirmed the heartbreaking incident, revealing that another officer was injured in the assault. Sadiq further disclosed that the police force is actively addressing the situation at the duty post.

“The officers responded bravely and successfully repelled the attack. However, one officer lost his life and another was injured as a result of the attack. Further development will be communicated in due course, please,” said Sadiq.

This tragic event adds to the recent wave of attacks in Batsari, as the local government area has witnessed two successful attacks by suspected bandits within the past week.
