The Fair provides an opportunity for prospective international students to learn directly from admissions officers from US college representatives. They learn application requirements, funding opportunities and everything that U.S. education has to offer and it is usually organised by the U.S. Mission.
At the fair, Consul General of U.S., Will Stevens, said that America remains a leading destination for international students, noting the United States offers students an unrivaled educational experience, flexibility and diversity, among others.
“We are happy to provide Nigerian students who wish to study in the United States a unique opportunity to learn about the diversity of the programs offered at various U.S. educational institutions.”
Managing Director of Ecobank Nigeria, Bolaji Lawal stated that he was impressed with partnering the US agency to provide an avenue for students willing to further their education in the United States to interact with the college representatives.
He expressed the hope that the admission seekers will now have firsthand information that would inform their choices.
The Fair attracted various schools from Lagos State including interested members of the public.
