The new service establishes a strategic shipping link between Lekki Port and Lomé, Togo, providing Nigerian importers and exporters with improved access to MSC’s extensive global network while reinforcing the port’s position as a key maritime gateway in West Africa.

According to a statement issued by the management of Lekki Port on Tuesday, import cargo from MSC’s worldwide network will be transshipped through Lomé before being distributed to Lekki Port, Apapa Port and Tin Can Port. Export cargo originating from Lekki Port will also be routed through Lomé, where it will connect with MSC’s mainline services serving Europe, Asia, the Mediterranean, North America and South America.

The port management described the development as a significant step towards improving cargo movement, reducing transit times and creating more efficient logistics solutions for Nigerian businesses engaged in international trade.
