Onne Port Customs Generates ₦76.07b in October 2025

The Port Harcourt II Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has achieved a a record breaking revenue collection of ₦76,075,447,369.83 in October 2025 , the highest monthly revenue ever recorded in the Command’s history.

This was disclosed in a press release by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs Theophilus P Duniya on 3rd November, 2025.

The remarkable performance has been attributed to the deliberate and sustained stakeholder engagement strategy championed by the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Aliyu M. Alkali. Under his leadership, the command intensified dialogue with port users, improved communication with unit heads, and reinforced compliance with trade regulations. These measures, coupled with a strong emphasis on facilitating legitimate trade, have significantly boosted revenue outcomes and operational efficiency.

Comptroller Alkali’s management approach also focused on strategic deployment of officers based on operational priorities, ensuring optimal resource allocation and effective performance monitoring across various sections of the Command. This proactive restructuring enhanced accountability, improved service delivery, and contributed to the command’s ability to surpass its monthly revenue targets.

Comptroller Alkali said that the achievement underscores the command’s broader commitment to advancing national economic growth through efficient revenue collection, trade facilitation, and strict adherence to international standards. It also demonstrates the value of teamwork, discipline, and synergy among officers, importers, licensed customs agents, and other port stakeholders who have played key roles in driving the Command’s success.

The CAC reaffirmed the command’s position as a major revenue contributor to the nation’s economy. He also pledged to sustain the momentum through continuous system improvement, stakeholder cooperation, and renewed dedication to achieving even greater milestones in the months ahead
