MWUN Celebrates Oyetola as He Clocks 70


The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) celebrates the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Saka Oyetola as he marks his 70th birthday.

According to a press release issued by MWUN Head of Media ,Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, the Union will continue to identify with the Iragbiji born administrator who gives his immense contributions towards the development and advancement of the Maritime sector since he assumed the newly created Marine and Blue Economy ministry.

“The Maritime Workers Union is proud to be with the former Governor of Osun State, as he marks his birthday with his family, friends and well-wishers across the nooks and crannies of the country”

Ikemefuna explained that the President General of MWUN , Adewale Adeyanju identified Oyetola as a committed and dedicated leader who has initiated productive innovations in the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.

“Dr. Adeyanju described the pioneer Minister of the Marine and Blue Economy as a silent achiever, and one whose vast knowledge in the sector cannot be under scored, having facilitated a lot of fruitful innovations that have progressively touched on the lives of both the employers and employees in the maritime industry and for the country at large”

“Prince Adeyanju who doubles as the Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and Vice President Global, International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) also said of Oyetola as one Minister, who the members of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria will continue to remember vis a vis the Dockworkers Branch, Seafarers Branch, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Branch, and the Shipping Branch; and not forgetting his commitment towards the Union when he flew in from Abuja to Lagos to witness the signing of the Shipping Branch NJIC for workers in the shipping sector, that has truly revealed his pragmatic attitude towards work and due diligence as a Minister”
