Liverpool has successfully advanced through to the semi-final of the UEFA Champions after beating Manchester city 2-1 in the second round of the quarter final.
The first-half of the game saw Manchester City taking an early lead in the goal scoring with credits to Gabriel Jesus igniting hopes of a spine-chilling 3-0 comeback.
But such hopes were trashed as the second-half surprised the soon to be crowned premier league champions when the wonder duo of Mohammed Salah and Roberto Firmino scored a goal each.
Man City were knocked out of the competition with a 5-1 aggregate as Leroy Sane’s goal was disallowed by the referee.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have been sent packing out of the competition in a startling 3-0 comeback defeat by Roma who survived on away goals.
